June show Ziva Exotika

Reptile show Ziva Exotika was held after long time in Prague-Holesovice on Saturday again. It was nice to meet all friends and discuss some news from our common hobby again. I brought a pair of Pachydactylus latirostris and Gonatodes concinnatus female for my breeding from Prague.

First egg of species Gonatodes atricucullaris

I found the very first egg from pair of Gonatodes atricucullaris, paired in second half of April. I was surprised at bigger egg size considering rather subtle atricucullaris female. The eggs lay also other genera Pachydactylus and Eurydactylodes, first clutch of two eggs was found from relatively new pair of Lucasium damaeum a Diplodactylus furcosus.

Spring 2020

First eggs of the season were already laid. Untraditionally, I have more eggs from non-Gonatodes species than from Gonatodes species at this moment. Reason for this is that some species of Gonatodes I keep incomplete today (e.g. G. caudiscutatus, G. machelae) and other ones have been waiting for pairing (G. humeralis, G. alb. albogularis, G. annularis).

Pachydactylus rugosus

Two small hatchlings of Pachydactylus rugosus hatched just this morning. Frankly speaking it was pretty nice surprise for me. The eggs were laid 11/11/2019 and incubation time was relatively long in this case - 135 days.
